County looking at layoffs in balancing tentative budget (Fernley Leader)

March 10, 2010 – 1:56 am Lyon County management has completed a proposed tentative budget to submit to the Lyon County Board of Commissioners, which will begin conducting budget workshops on March 17 (see other story), but it includes a proposal of over 40 full-time equivalent layoffs to balance the FY 2010-11 budget that had initially faced a large deficit.
