Harlem students protest teacher layoffs by walking out (Rockford Register Star)

March 19, 2010 – 1:46 pm Dozens of Harlem Middle School students walked out of class Friday to protest teacher layoffs — the fourth student-led protest over school budget cuts in the Rock River Valley last week.
